NDCS Cymru invited deaf children and young people to the Senedd on 05 May 2009 to tell Jane Hutt, Minister for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills, what the Welsh Assembly Government can change to make their lives better.
Jane Hutt was presented with posters sent in by children and young people throughout April which showed what they wanted to see changed. Some of the main themes of the posters included:
improved deaf awareness in schools more deaf friendly leisure and sports activities improved educational support improved hearing technology more opportunities for hearing children to learn BSL
The posters can be seen on the NDCS Cymru website. You can also read more about what happened on the day. |
