 The Disabled Children Matter Wales campaigns has welcomed the announcement by John Griffiths, Deputy Minister for Skills, of additional funding of £3.14M to support provision for learners with disabilities in Wales.
Further education colleges are to receive £2.3m to provide learners with learning difficulties or other disabilities with support such as Learning Support Assistants or technical support so that they are able to receive their education on the same terms and with similar opportunities as other learners.
A further £872,045 will be available to local authorities to fund the cost of post-16 special school and Out of County Placements. |
