The Children's Intensive Support Service (CISS) is a specialist behaviour service for parents and carers of children with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours in the Cardiff and the Vale.
The CISS works alongside and in partnership with carers and professionals to maintain children in the most appropriate community settings, eg at home, school, etc.
The support provided is individually tailored to the needs of the child and their parents/carers and could consist of advice and consultation, collaborative working, intensive support and training. The service aims to be as unintrusive as possible and sensitive to cultural, racial, religious and personal aspirations.
For further information on the service, please contact Dr Pippa Mundy, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, either by telephone on 02920 336 135 or at pippa.mundy@abm-tr.wales.nhs.uk
