Learning Disability Wales, as the collective voice of the voluntary sector, seeks to promote the right of people with a learning disability to have valued lives.

We:

• Work in partnership with other organisations, service users and their parent/carers
• Campaign to help children and adults with learning disabilities achieve valued lives
• Support the voluntary sector and it’s interests
• Provide and promote good practice

We promote and actively pursue four fundamental principals. People with a learning disability have:

• The right to an ordinary pattern of live within the community
• The right to be treated as an individual
• The right to additional help and support in developing their maximum potential
• The right to participate in all decision making and service planning
